Glasgow Tutor Company helps people to prepare for City and Guilds functional skills exams. We have worked with our partners at MME to compile a series of City and Guilds Functional Skills past papers for you to help prepare for your exam by getting a better idea of what the exam will be like and what kind of questions will be asked.

The City and Guilds Functional Skills exams offers the qualification in two different subjects; Maths and English. These qualifications are highly desirable by both employers in the UK and universities alike. Most employers look for those who have qualifications in both Maths and English at a GCSE level, which this qualification is the equivalent of. Many universities also have entry requirements for their courses requiring GCSE equivalent grades. By obtaining this qualification, you can open up new career paths for yourself by being more likely to get a job as well as gain entry to university and college courses. City and Guilds also offer a level 1 qualification as well as a level 2 qualification in both subjects, so you are able to pick the exam that best suits your needs.

The exams themselves are sat online, meaning that you will use a computer to answer all of the questions. During the exam, you will be monitored by an accompanying invigilator who will help you set up your exam on the day. You will be required to have a computer with a working webcam and microphone on a stable internet connection to sit the exam.

With all of the past papers that MME have assembled, along with other support services, you should have everything you need to pass your exam.
